In 2023 we presented the immersive music experience Patterns from Nature. The project was initiated and led by saxophonist/composer Quinsin Nachoff in collaboration with physicist professor Stephen Morris (University of Toronto). In the project I was involved as a visual artist, responsible for 10 minutes of film during the 4th movement of the composition. For this I used scientific data from the Icicle Atlas, research created over a period of many years by Stephen Morris. During the rehearsals at Hunter College in New York City I was able to capture the spirit and movement of Quinsin while performing a solo. In the image you will also find conductor JS Stanford and members of the Molinari Quartet.
The image was taken with degenerated Kodak Ektachrome 100 film in an Agfa Box camera from the 1930’s .
