Touch base • international collaboration with arctic science stations
In the summer of 2019 I collaborated with over 20 arctic scientists to create an archive of solargraphy images depicting the base stations they live in the summer. The entire global arctic region was covered with scientist working in Alaska, Herschell Island, North-West Territories, Greenland, Spitsbergen, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Siberia. We present you the full archive and from all of these images, nine images were selected to be part of the object 'Save Our Souls'. In this 9 part photo object we can read the morse code S.O.S. which resonates the message most climate scientists send to the world: Save Our Souls.
